Plans for a major regeneration of YMCA Bournemouth’s town centre base have been lodged with the support of KPPC Ltd.

The Delta House scheme includes 108 ensuite rooms split over 13 cluster units and nine studio flats as well as community facilities on the ground floor.

Plans for the site – between Westover Road and Hinton Road in Bournemouth town centre – include refurbishment, repurposing and extension to allow the YMCA to provider greater levels of temporary accommodation and lifechanging support for those in need.

The YMCA has worked in Bournemouth since at least 1879 and offers a wide range of community services. These include supported housing for single people aged 18 to 65 with a range of needs, whether in shorter term hostel accommodation or ‘move on’ homes to allow them to live independently for up to two years and find a permanent place of their own.

It works closely with BCP Council to alleviate the issue of rough sleeping in Bournemouth, especially in the town centre.

KPPC Ltd is proud to assist the YMCA with this scheme, which has included pre-application consultation.

The application has been lodged with BCP Council with comments closing on January 27, 2023 before a decision is made.
