Plans for 24 new homes on a former garage site in Shaftesbury, Dorset, have been given the green light.
Dorset Council’s planning committee approved the application for the site in New Road previously occupied by ATS Euromaster.
KPPC provided planning support for the applicants throughout the planning process.
The development features a terrace of nine homes fronting on to New Road and 15 flats towards the rear of the site plus ample parking.
It was given permission following an earlier application for 18 homes on the site which was allowed on appeal.
The newly approved scheme includes reconfigured internal spaces in one block to allow for six additional flats with negligible impact on the height of the development.
KPPC is pleased to support the development of this site to provide much needed housing and bring a vacant, unkempt and prominent site back into use in one of Dorset’s best known market towns.
