BOUTIQUE HOTEL PLANS TO BE UNVEILED

August 2, 2024

Plans to transform the vacant Cathedral Hotel in Salisbury are going on show at a drop-in event next week.

KPPC is working with owners Larasian, DevComms and BrightSPACE Architects (now part of Corstorphine & Wright) on regeneration of this landmark site.

The plan is to transform the building into a high-quality boutique hotel with 13 luxury suites, ‘filling a crucial gap in Salisbury’s local hospitality market, drawing more visitors and significant expenditure to this great city and saving a historic hotel building’.

It will feature a new rooftop Spitfire Bar as a tribute to all the local workers who worked on components for the iconic aircraft in the city. It will offer unrivalled views of the Salisbury Cathedral spire and the city’s skyline.

Other details include:

* Rejuvenation of the hotel’s restaurant, featuring access to a private landscaped dining courtyard.

* Al fresco dining in a revitalised rear courtyard with a new piece of public art to pay homage to Salisbury’s skyline.

KPPC is advising the new owners of the Cathedral Hotel in Salisbury on plans to breathe new life into the property - including a rooftop bar

Larasian says: “The introduction of a boutique hotel to Salisbury will attract new travellers and provide the opportunity for visitors to stay overnight in the city and therefore generate additional new expenditure at other hospitality, leisure and retail businesses across Salisbury and Wiltshire.”

KPPC is proud to be involved in such an exciting project to breathe new life into this site and boost the local economy of Salisbury. Our planning director Adam Bennett is leading on the project for KPPC.

The drop-in event will be open to businesses, residents and stakeholder groups at Salisbury Guildhall on Tuesday, August 6, from 2pm to 7pm.
