Perseverance paid off when we secured consent for a hybrid planning application for 53 homes in Fordingbridge, Hampshire.
Our Senior Associate Consultant Adam Bennett entered detailed negotiations with local authority planners and technical consultees before the scheme was approved by New Forest District Council Planning Committee.
The application was for the development of land at Middle Burgate House in Fordingbridge. The council gave permission for 41 open market houses in outline and 12 affordable homes in full.
The scheme represents a mix of modern architecture and sensitive traditional design which embraces the historical function of the land in a progressive and sustainable way.
No technical objections were made to the application and it was recommended for approval to the committee by the council’s planning officers.
Project partners were client Brian Currie, Brightspace Architects, UBU Design, Godsell Arnold Partnership, Paul Basham Associates, Ecosupport, Sturt and Company, Barrell Tree Consultancy, Cotswold Archaeology, Clarke Saunders Associates, Ramboll and ACS Testing.
