Ken Parke Planning worked with the site owners and architects to create a quality development at the former Streets toy shop and warehouse, converting and redeveloping it to provide a total of 6 new dwellings, 2 within the shop premises and a terrace of 4 cottages.

The process involved the preparation of supporting statements, negotiation with planning and conservation officers and the Rights of Way officer.  As the front gardens of the cottages extended onto Woodstock Lane, which is a designated footpath, a Highway Extinguishment Order was required detailing the extent of lane required for the development to proceed and extent of lane remaining to ensure that public and vehicular access was unaffected.

As a Rights of Way objection was raised, considerable negotiation, consultation and presentation to the Town Council was required to overcome the objection, failure to do so would have prevented the development from taking place.
