KPPC HEADCOUNT BOOST IN EXPANSION PLANS

March 28, 2025

KPPC has launched new strategic growth plans for the long-term future of the business.

We aim to recruit at least two senior planners in 2025 as demand continues to strengthen for our professional services.

Our independent, Bournemouth-based business has set a 30% target for year-on-year revenue growth with more major projects in the pipeline.

It also comes after we reconfigured in late 2024 with founder Ken Parke becoming Chief Executive, Adam Bennett Planning Director, Kat Burdett Operations Director and Angela Parke Chief Financial Officer.

Ken, who founded KPPC in 2003 with Angela, said: “We are planning significant investment in the company for growth to match the calibre of instructions which we continue to receive.

“We have previously recruited experienced planners in the Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire area as well as those who are relocating or are from further afield and seeking a new challenge in an attractive part of the country.

“Expanding our close-knit and professional team is key to our longer-term plans for the growth of the business.”

Ken added: “We are a highly successful practice.

“It is the hard work and dedication of our team which has resulted in our practice being recognised by the planning sector as the most successful small planning consultancy practice in the UK in terms of productivity.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming more planners to help us to even greater success.”

The creation of two senior planning roles represents a 25 per cent increase in the eight-strong firm’s headcount.

Adam said: “We continue to work on major projects across the south as well as a variety of other planning matters.

“Our ratings in the recent Planning Consultancy Market Report 2024 demonstrate the strength of our business model and opportunity for our planners to get their teeth stuck into some weighty schemes.

“There is ample scope for career development in supporting our valued clients achieve their ambitions while supporting the local economy and community.”

We are currently providing support for a number of schemes, including the £10m development of the five-star Cathedral Hotel in Salisbury and residential development of a brownfield site at Chesil Beach on the Jurassic Coast.

We recently gained planning permission for Poole-based SME housebuilder AJC Group to develop 40 new family homes on a brownfield site at Lansdowne in central Bournemouth.

Major planning consents have also included a scheme for 196 homes in Totton, Hampshire

We support local charities and the community, including sponsorship of AFC Bournemouth.

We have supported Bournemouth YMCA with ambitious development plans and Diverse Abilities  with plans for a lifechanging hydrotherapy pool in Poole.
