Wiltshire Council is set to issue a Call for Sites as part of its new Local Plan making process.
The local authority scrapped preparations for a previous Local Plan last month after Planning Inspectors said that the draft document was ‘not fit for purpose’.
Now the council has begun the process of developing a new Local Plan under new rules as part of the government’s planning reforms. It issued a Notice of Intention to Commence Local Plan Preparation on 30 June, with the 30-month plan process expected to begin on Friday 30 October.
The council says that it will launch a Call for Sites in the coming weeks – inviting landowners, developers and local communities to suggest land and sites to be considered for inclusion.
The focus will be upon housing, but submissions can be made for any use that will help meet local needs.
KPPC will reach out to clients directly once the Call for Sites has been opened to discuss the preparation of submissions to continue to promote and support their sites and land interests.
Please contact us if you wish us to advise of the development prospects and help you to promote your land.
There will always be some areas that will not be suitable due to environmental or other constraints, but we will be able to advise you if this is the case.
