A driving force behind KPPC Planning Consultants has retired after a long and successful career.

Angela Parke has stepped down from her role as chief financial officer, 23 years after founding the firm with her husband Ken in 2003 in Bournemouth.

She leaves KPPC in rude heath as the business goes from strength to strength as one of the leading planning practices in the south.

Angela departs under strategic succession planning which has seen the reins of the firm handed over to operations director Kat Burdett and planning director Adam Bennett.

Ken remains at KPPC as chief executive to support its ongoing expansion and business growth for private, public, householder and commercial clients of all sizes across the UK.

Before founding KPPC with Ken, Angela spent 10 years in financial planning with a large bank and a specialist insurance provider at the start of her career before working in financial sales, marketing and national advertising for five years.

As well as her leadership role as a director of the business, Angela ran the administration, finance and marketing functions at KPPC with an unwavering focus on customer service.

She also developed valuable planning sector experience and knowledge to support KPPC’s planning team – including the drafting of complex Section 106 planning agreements for client contributions in the local community.

Angela said: “It is a bittersweet moment to retire after so many years spent doing something I love.

“I am fortunate to be able to look back with pride at the business I co-founded and helped build into the success it has become today.

“I am look forward to the next chapter and step away with gratitude to everyone who has supported me over the years and wish all at KPPC the very best for the future.”

Chief executive Ken praised the invaluable contribution Angela has made to KPPC and said that she will be missed at the firm.

Ken said: “Angela has been absolutely instrumental in setting up the company and turning it into the success that it has become today.

“We all wish her a fulfilling and well-deserved retirement and every success in the next chapter of her life.”

Operations director Kat said: “Angela has made an outstanding contribution to the growth and financial strength of KPPC over the length of its history.

Planning director Adam said: “Angela leaves with our warmest thanks and best wishes for the future.

“Her role in the development of KPPC as one of the leading planning consultants in the south stands a testament to her commitment, drive and business acumen that will not be forgotten.”
